An article entitled "VisNow Workshop and Visualization Wall" was published recently in "Powering Discoveries!" (Volume 8, issue 4, page 11) - a publication of the Institute Of high Performance Computing, A*STAR, Singapore. It summarizes the A*CRC workshop and the commissioning event where VisNow was enpowered by the high-resolution video wall. The publication can be downloaded here.

VisNow team wishes you a Happy Easter!

End on March was a time of HPC Advisory Council Conference 2015 that was taking place in Lugano (Switzerland). The event was focused on High-Performance Computing essentials, new developments, emerging technologies and best practices in computational sciences. VisNow found its place at the conference in the presentation of Maciej Remiszewski, giving a talk on Addressing Challenges of Data-intensive Research from ICM UW perspective. You can watch his whole presentation here.

"Advanced visualization with VIsNow" - a recent hands-on training that took place at ICM on 17-18 December 2014 was a next step towards popularisation of VisNow. The training was given by Visual Analysis Lab team and was addressed to High Performance Computing centre users and scientific communities. VisNow was given a warm welcome and new scinetists are anxious to use its capabilities in their work. We're looking forward to the results.

Updated materials from VisNow advanced training are now available for download uder the Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-ND license. Installation guide, user interface training and case study tutorials can be found in the Training section in Documentation page as PDF files and sample datasets.

VisNow is spreading around the globe with the recent users training taken in Singapore. A*STAR Computational Resource Center was hosting a full week training entitled "Advanced visualization and programming with VisNow platform". The training was addressed to scientists working around A*STAR and Singapore research institutions. Intense week of both visualization and module programming was a great opportunity to gain a deeper knowledge on our platform.

Within the new cooperation between ICM and A*STAR Computational Research Center in Singapore VisNow was recently implemented on the large scale videowall. Six 4K screens (11 520 x 4 320) powered by three Nvidia Quadro GPUs provide VisNow the possibility to spread the wings. Large scale visualizations and animations are running in this environment based on our platform to give computational scientists the tool for visual analysis of big datasets.

The new issue of our university magazine "University of Warsaw" shows a cover topic of helium oxide capturing. The graphics showing atoms and potential visualization was generated using our VisNow software.

VisNow image and video gallery is now available! All material presented in the gallery is 100% made by VisNow software, thus not only showing some extraordinary visualizations but also presenting VisNow capabilities. Find a new "gallery" tab at the top menu or follow this link to view.

VisNow v1.1 both Simple and Pro is now available as a source code. Explore our VisLab repositories at github to download VisNow sources. Start here.

Are you waiting for the new VisNow version? The roadmap for the upcoming releases is here. You might expect the improoved version v1.2 in December 2014. However, the major change will arive  with VisNow v2.0 coming somewhere 2015/16. In the meantime check for updates on our functional libraries JLargeArrays, LargeDatasets and VisNowSwingWidgets.
